I respect and safeguard the privacy of my users at all times. This privacy policy outlines how I will do this, how I will collect and use your personal information, such as your name, country of origin, date of birth, email address, mobile phone number, or any other contact details, and more importantly how you can limit my use of these details. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and if you have any questions or concerns please send me an email. I will respond by return.

I collect information in one of two ways, either indirectly using our web sites technology, or directly, when you contact me using an online form or feedback comments. As with most other web sites I collect and use the data collected in log files. The information includes your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit my sites, the time you visited and which pages you visited.

I collect information from you directly in several ways, one of which is by using cookies. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by the web server to the web browser, which enable the web server to collect information from the browser. The cookie stores information about you and builds up a profile of how you and other visitors use the website. If you would like to find out more information about cookies please just follow this link which explains all about cookies. You can choose to disable or selectively turn off my cookies or third party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton. However this may affect how you are able to interact with my sites as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs such as logging into forums or accounts. I also collect information directly when you email me, or complete a feedback form.

Most of the advertisements you see on the website are generated by third parties such as Google. Some of these third parties generate their own cookies to track how many people have seen a particular advertisement (or use the services of third parties to do this), and to track how many people have seen it more than once. These cookies cannot be used to identify an individual – they can only be used for statistical purposes, for example, in providing you with advertisements that are more relevant to your interests. This could include only showing you a pop up once during your visit, or the ability to log into some of our features, such as a forum. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on my sites, which will also send these advertisers ( such as Google through the Adsense programme) information including your IP address, your ISP, your browser, and in some cases whether you have Flash installed. This information is generally used for targeting purposes, or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited. A web beacon is a transparent image file used to monitor your journey around a single website or collection of sites. They are also referred to as web bugs and are commonly used by sites that hire third-party services to monitor traffic. They may be used in association with cookies to understand how my visitors interact with the pages and content on the pages of a web site.

In addition Google as a third party vendor now uses the DoubleClick DART cookie which helps them learn how well their Internet advertising campaigns or paid search listings perform, enabling it to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the Internet. Many marketers and Internet websites use DoubleClick’s DART technology to deliver and serve their advertisements or manage their paid search listings. DoubleClick’s DART products set or recognize a unique, persistent cookie when an ad is displayed or a paid listing is selected. The information that the DART cookie provides, helps to give marketing companies such as Google, detailed market information about you as a visitor, including the number of unique users their advertisements were displayed to, how many users clicked on their Internet ads or paid listings, and which ads or paid listings they clicked on, allowing them to better target their advertising based on user preferences. If you would prefer to opt out of the Google DoubleClick DART cookie, then please just click on the following link which will take you to the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

Some of the information from third party cookies will be aggregated with other anonymous information for statistical purposes. The third party companies that generate these cookies have their own, very strict, privacy policies but we have no access to these cookies, other than allowing them to be served. I have no role or influence in these cookies but may use the information arising from these third party cookies and provided to us by third parties, to improve the targeting of advertisements to my users of the website.

If you would like to disable “third party” cookies generated by advertisers or providers of targeted advertising services, you can turn them off by going to the third party’s website and getting them to generate a one-time “no thanks” cookie that will stop any further cookies being written to your machine. If you would like further details please just send me an email and I would be happy to provide details by return.
